About JD Whyte

She’s an author, playwright, and screenwriter. She has hosted her own radio show and television program and published her own paper. She has written, produced, and directed stage, television, and radio. She is a woman who wears many hats. She is JD Whyte.

A native Hoosier, author JD Whyte has been writing for most of her life. Her career began back in grade school where teachers encouraged the budding writer to pursue her interests in storytelling and playwriting. At the ripe old age of nine, she became the unofficial scriptwriter for all school plays, often penning holiday specials open to the community.

During her high school years, her focus was drawn to journalism, when she began her professional career as a news reporter. Later on, JD accepted a position with the Daily Herald in Provo, Utah , as an editorial assistant. She excelled when she was named Television/Radio Editor and assumed editorial control of the weekly entertainment tab by changing the name
